Delivery charges from RKD will be calculated at the checkout They are logically dependent on the products you have selected for purchase. Please note that charges are based on delivery to mainland UK (excluding the Scottish Highlands & the Islands where additional shipping charges will apply).

Each item purchased will display its own delivery schedule.

Roofing Kits Direct make every effort to ensure orders are delivered by the date required. We cannot however always guarantee availability from the manufacturer or, where delivery is direct from the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s delivery schedules.

RKD understand the importance of timely delivery therefore any unforeseen change to a web ordered product delivery date given will be advised to you by email or telephone. Please ensure that you have good access for delivery. If we are unable to make a delivery because access is not possible, we reserve the right to make a failed delivery charge.

Roofing Kits Direct believe in simple transparency and honesty. In providing our clients with the best value for money we do not hide the transport costs in the prices of our products. This is not in our customers best interests. Our carriage charges reflect the size and weight of your order and/or product(s) and will always be shown separately at the checkout.

Our delivery charges are based on the customer being available to accept the goods. Where hazardous materials are included in your delivery, such as fibreglass Resin etc you must be available to sign for the delivery. This includes, on heavier items, the ability or customer willingness to manually offload the goods. Should the delivery/order be of sufficient weight or package make-up (eg Palletised) the customer should have mechanical offloading facilities available (such as a forklift truck). Crane-off or tail-lift facilities may be available on certain orders at an additional cost.

Roofing Kits Direct utilises national carriers and national pallet distribution networks, as well as manufacturers, own transport.

Timelines – Wherever possible, unless stipulated on the product/checkout delivery information, orders for available products made before 12.00 noon will be delivered the next working day. This is not guaranteed as too many variables are evident. However, experience and historical delivery records reveal that this is often achievable for kits and materials which are held in stock (not manufacturer held). Should you have a deadline or time constraint we recommend allowing 1-3 days for the certainty of receipt.

Weekends – Please note that orders received after 12:pm on a Friday (along with any order received over the weekend) will be processed on the following Monday. Our estimated delivery times (shown on product pages) are based on a 5-day working week. Please take this into account when ordering.

Split Deliveries

RKD will always attempt to dispatch most of our products from our centrally based distribution centre. However, some of the goods we offer will come to you direct from the manufacturer. To save precious time we will dispatch centrally stocked items as normal the item(s) manufacturer located will be delivered separately.

Depending on stock availability or perhaps your required needs RKD may split your order into more than one delivery thus ensuring that you are not kept waiting for those items immediately available.

Should RKD become aware of stock difficulties, which is unusual but can occur,  and they will affect delivery timescales, we will let you know by telephone or email.

Restricted Access

RKD reserve the right to refuse to make a delivery if you have not informed us prior to delivery of any access restrictions.

Restricted Access – RKD considers this to be if in attempting delivery we encounter double yellow lines, a red route, narrow lanes, steep hills, low bridges, or width restricted roads. Each product upon order possesses a customer completion based field. Please let us know if you have restricted access by including details here. We recommend you also us an email to to discuss delivery if you have restricted access.

Please note – RKD currently only offer deliveries to the mainland UK. If you require delivery to locations outside of the mainland please call us on 02381 229016. 

Delivery Instructions

A customer completion field is available on all product ordering pages. Please utilise this to let us know of any specific delivery requests. This could be as simple as ‘please use rear access gate’ or similar.

Advice for accepting your delivery

It sounds obvious but please check your goods thoroughly against the delivery note before signing for them.

If any part of your delivery is damaged or faulty please contact us straight away ( if out of hours first thing next day) by telephone on 02381 229016 or email

IMPORTANT – Do not accept damaged products. Orders signed for as “unchecked” will be deemed to have been received in good condition unless we have been notified within 24hrs of delivery.

Please be aware that as soon as the order has been delivered to your requested delivery address, the risk of any damage or loss passes to you.
