Flexitec 2020 Primer is a rapid-curing, cold applied liquid.
2020 primer is available in 2.5 & 5 kg tins.
This is used to prime roof surfaces before the application of the Flexitec 2020 System.
Flexitec 2020 Primer requires powder hardener at a minimum of 2% and a maximum of 4%
Primer can be walked on 30-60 minutes after application.
Priming requirement guide:
Felt, Asphalt (Bituminous surfaces): RKD recommend priming
Concrete, brickwork, plywood ( Porous surfaces ): RKD state priming is essential
OSB3 TG4: RKD recommend priming of board joints
GRP/Fibreglass: No priming is required.
Polyurethanes (Liquid coatings) and single ply membranes : RKD recommend that you carry out an adhesion test.
The Primer coverage rate is between 4-6 Litres/m2 (3.5 – 5.3 kg/m2) – dependent upon substrate roughness
